Red Sea Shipping Today: Live List of Container Vessels at Risk

Red Sea shipping is back in the headlines as the Houthis advance toward the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Logistics teams are once again asking which vessels, and which containers, could be affected.

To help, Portcast has compiled a list of container vessels scheduled to transit the Red Sea, Bab el-Mandeb, or the Gulf of Aden, or to call at ports in the region. The list is live and refreshed daily so that you can check vessel-level exposure alongside the latest Red Sea shipping news.

What's Happening in Red Sea Shipping

The Houthis are advancing along Yemen's Red Sea coast toward the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, the southern gateway to the Red Sea and the Suez Canal.

The timing matters for container shipping. Services operated by CMA CGM, Maersk, MSC, Hapag-Lloyd and COSCO have all returned to the Suez Canal to varying degrees, according to gCaptain. Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd have said future routing remains dependent on stability in the Red Sea and no further escalation. If the situation turns into another Red Sea shipping crisis, carriers could divert around the Cape of Good Hope again. That would bring back the Red Sea shipping disruptions of recent years: longer transit times and shifting ETAs for vessels already heading through the region.

Red Sea Shipping Today: Live List of Vessels at Risk

At the time of writing, the list covers 176 vessels with ETAs between 9 September and 20 October 2026:

• 91 vessels are scheduled to transit the region: 39 through the Red Sea / Bab el-Mandeb, 37 through the Red Sea, and 15 through Bab el-Mandeb / Gulf of Aden.
• 43 vessels are headed to Saudi Red Sea ports: 36 to Jeddah and 7 to King Abdullah Port.
• 20 vessels are bound for Djibouti and 11 for Aqaba.
• The remainder are calling at Egyptian Red Sea ports (7), Yemeni ports (3), and Port Sudan (1).

The list is refreshed daily as vessel schedules and routings change.
