CMA CGM Implements Low Water Surcharge for Manaus Shipments

What Happened?

CMA CGM has introduced a Low Water Surcharge (LWS) for all cargo moving to and from Manaus, Brazil. This is due to critically low water levels in the Amazon River, causing navigation restrictions and reduced vessel capacity. The surcharge, effective from week 40, aims to cover increased operational costs and may be adjusted if a floating pier becomes necessary.
