CMA CGM Implements Significant Low Water Surcharge for Manaus Shipments

CMA CGM is introducing a Low Water Surcharge of US$2,315 per TEU for all cargo moving to and from Manaus, Brazil. This surcharge, effective October 2, 2026, addresses critically low water levels in the Amazon River system. These conditions are anticipated to lead to vessel draft restrictions and reduced capacity.
