CMA CGM Implements $500/TEU Panama Canal Adjustment Factor from Far East to US
What Happened?
CMA CGM has announced a Panama Canal Adjustment Factor of USD 500 per TEU, effective from September 10th, 2026. This surcharge applies to all cargo shipped from the Far East to the US East Coast and US Gulf via the Panama Canal. Shipments from Bangladesh to the US East Coast are excluded from this adjustment factor.
