CMA CGM Announces Asia-Med Rate Increases and Global Surcharges
What Happened?
CMA CGM is raising Freight All Kind (FAK) rates on Asia to Mediterranean and North Africa routes up to $7,100 per 40-foot container between November 1 and 14, 2026. The carrier will also introduce a $150 per container Peak Season Surcharge on dry cargo from West Coast South America starting November 1. Furthermore, a €150 per TEU surcharge will apply on shipments from Northern Europe to North Africa effective November 7.
