CMA CGM Implements New FAK Rates and Peak Season Surcharge for Middle East Trades

Effective 1 August 2026, CMA CGM will implement new Freight All Kinds (FAK) rates and a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS), increasing costs for shippers on routes from the Mediterranean and North Africa to the Middle East Gulf and Red Sea. The new FAK rates vary by origin port, while the PSS adds a flat fee per container, impacting the total cost of shipping dry cargo and paying empties.
