CMA CGM Postpones Low Water Surcharge Effective Date to October 2026
What Happened?
CMA CGM has postponed a previously announced Low Water Surcharge (LWS) from September 1st, 2026, to a new effective date of October 1st, 2026. The surcharge of USD 150 per TEU will apply to all cargo types originating from the South America West Coast. Affected destinations include North Europe, the Mediterranean, Middle East Gulf, Red Sea, Africa, and various trade lanes to the Americas.
