Hapag-Lloyd to Implement Higher Feeder Charges for Eastern Caribbean Shipments
What Happened?
Hapag-Lloyd will increase its Transport Additional Origin (TAO) and Destination (TAD) charges for shipments to and from the Eastern Caribbean. This adjustment, effective from October 2026 to March 2027, is due to rising third-party feeder costs and will impact dry, reefer, and dangerous goods containers. Numerous island markets, including the Bahamas, Cayman Islands, and the Virgin Islands, will face higher costs.
