Hapag-Lloyd Announces $1,000 GRI for Shipments from Indian Subcontinent to North America
What Happened?
Hapag-Lloyd is implementing a General Rate Increase (GRI) / General Rate Adjustment (GRA) of USD 1,000 per container. This increase applies to cargo transported in 20’ and 40’ Dry, Reefer, and Special containers from the Indian Subcontinent, Pakistan, and the Middle East to the USA and Canada. The new rate will be effective for all containers gated in full from September 15, 2026.
