Hapag-Lloyd Raises Rates: Indian Subcontinent, Pakistan, Mideast
What Happened?
Hapag-Lloyd is implementing a General Rate Increase (GRI) for shipments originating from the Indian Subcontinent, Pakistan, and the Middle East destined for North America. This surcharge, amounting to USD 2,000 per container, will become effective on September 1, 2026. It applies to all 20’ and 40’ Dry, Reefer, and Special containers, including High Cube equipment.
