Hapag-Lloyd Closes Indore Office, Updates India GST Registration
What Happened?
Hapag-Lloyd has permanently closed its Indore, India counter, consolidating administrative services to its Ahmedabad office. Consequently, the carrier is surrendering its Madhya Pradesh GST registration and will issue all invoices under its Gujarat GSTIN starting April 2025. Shippers and forwarders must review all invoices issued under the old GSTIN and submit any correction requests by August 26, 2026, to avoid tax compliance liabilities.
