Hapag-Lloyd Imposes Peak Season Surcharge for Asia/Oceania to Guinea/Sierra Leone
What Happened?
Hapag-Lloyd is implementing a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for shipments from Asia and Oceania to Conakry, Guinea, and Freetown, Sierra Leone, effective for all cargo loaded on or after August 26, 2026. For Conakry, the surcharge is USD 1,400 per TEU for dry, special, and tank containers, and USD 2,250 per TEU for reefer containers. For Freetown, the surcharge is USD 350 per TEU for all container types.
