Hapag-Lloyd Announces Ocean Tariff Rate Increase for India/Bangladesh/Pakistan to Europe
What Happened?
Hapag-Lloyd is increasing its ocean tariff rates for shipments from India, Bangladesh, and Pakistan to North Europe and the Mediterranean Sea. Effective for sailings starting August 15, 2026, the base rates for both 20' and 40' dry containers will increase by USD 1000. For example, the new rate for a 20' dry container from Nhava Sheva/Mundra to North Europe will be USD 6253, and from Karachi/Port Qasim to the Mediterranean it will be USD 5548.
