Hapag-Lloyd Implements New Street Turn Charge for Nigeria Shipments
What Happened?
Effective 1 October 2026, Hapag-Lloyd will introduce a new Street Turn Charge (STC) in Nigeria, increasing costs for shippers and forwarders. This fee applies to the direct reuse of import containers for export shipments, known as a street turn or triangulation, adding a new financial component to these logistics arrangements.
