Maersk Reduces Emergency Surcharge for Indian Subcontinent to Latin America Shipments
What Happened?
Maersk is set to decrease its Emergency Contingency Surcharge (ECS) by US$500 per container for cargo moving from the Indian Subcontinent to the West Coast of Latin America, Central America, and the Caribbean. This revised pricing, effective from 10 October 2026, will apply to all container types, including specialized equipment.
