Maersk Implements Peak Season Surcharge for South Asia to Middle East Shipments
What Happened?
Maersk is implementing a revised Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for dry container shipments on the South Asia to Saudi Arabia and Jordan trade lane. Effective 15 August 2026, a charge of US$1,500 per container will apply to all non-SPOT bookings, increasing shipping costs for customers on this route.
