Maersk Adjusts Peak Season Surcharge for Indian Subcontinent & Middle East to North
What Happened?
Maersk will implement a revised Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for shipments from the Indian Subcontinent and Middle East to the US and Canadian East and Gulf coasts. Effective 1 October 2026, the surcharge will increase costs for shippers of both dry and reefer containers on these trade lanes. The new PSS levels will remain in place until further notice, affecting numerous specified ports in India.
