Maersk Increases Reefer Cooling Service Fees for Ecuador Shipments
What Happened?
Maersk is increasing its origin and destination cooling service fees for reefer containers moving to and from Ecuador, raising the cost from US$130 to US$140 per container. The new pricing takes effect on 29 August 2026 for non-regulated countries and 27 September 2026 for regulated countries. This adjustment directly increases costs for shippers of refrigerated goods, including those using store-door import delivery services in Ecuador.
