Maersk Lowers Destination Terminal Handling Charge for Shipments to Mexico
What Happened?
Maersk has announced a reduction in its Destination Terminal Handling charge for all container types moving from worldwide origins to Mexico. The charge will decrease by US$20 to US$120 per container, providing a direct cost saving for importers. The change is effective from 15 August 2026 for most origins, with a later date of 30 August 2026 for cargo from South Korea.
