MSC Implements Peak Season Surcharge for North Europe to North America Shipments
What Happened?
MSC will implement a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) on cargo moving from North Europe, the UK, and ScanBaltic to the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Bahamas, effective 15 August 2026. This financial measure will increase shipping costs based on container type, with surcharges ranging from US$600 to US$1,200. The PSS will be applied based on the gate-in date and remain in effect until further notice.
