ONE Announces Updated Europe Environment Surcharge for Q4 2026
What Happened?
Ocean Network Express (ONE) has updated its Europe Environment Surcharge for Q4 2026 to cover rising compliance costs from EU and UK emissions trading schemes. This surcharge now applies to all cargo to and from the United Kingdom due to full UK ETS implementation. The adjustment will increase shipping costs across all European trade lanes, including FMC-regulated and Canadian routes, as the EU ETS reaches 100% allowance surrender.
