ONE to Implement Cargo Receiving Date for Export Rate Application from Europe & Africa

What Happened?

Effective September 1, 2026, Ocean Network Express (ONE) will change its rate application policy for all export shipments from Europe and Africa. Freight rates and surcharges will now be determined by the 'Cargo Receiving Date' (the date cargo is gated-in at the terminal) instead of the proforma vessel departure date. This new logic is being extended to a long list of countries in Europe and Africa, including Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Lebanon, and Syria, to provide greater rate certainty.
