Transit Port

Transit Port

A Transit Port is an intermediate port where goods may be transshipped or undergo other logistics activities before reaching the final destination.

A transit port or port of call is a strategic hub or facility within a transportation network where goods, shipments, or cargo temporarily stop or pass through during their journey from the point of origin to the final destination. A transit port is not the final destination for import or export.

Functioning as a transfer point, a transit port facilitates the seamless movement of cargo between various vessels, modes of transport, or shipping routes.
