What Happened?
Hapag-Lloyd is increasing its Dangerous Goods Premium (DGP) by USD 1,000 per container for shipments from North Europe and the Mediterranean Sea to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This increase applies to all container types carrying Dangerous Goods, except DG Classes 1 and 7. The new premium is effective for all sailings from September 1, 2026, and is linked to regional risks in the Strait of Hormuz.
